Luckily I allowed myself tons of time, and I needed it. Gather friends and family in a place where all are welcome, and the memories made together last forever and ever. The line at the baggage check was horrendous - probably the worst I have ever experienced. Lines were very long - I was able to get on the bus that was right before my appointed departure, and when I got to the airport, then had to check my own bag.
So I went back and had breakfast and then an hour before brought my luggage with me. We will probably use our DVC points to stay at RCI or other exchanges rather than try to wrangle luggage and transportation to and from Orlando airport and WDW resorts. We are now in our 70’s and are selective about convenient travel options. I went down to the ticket counter at my hotel 3 hours before my flight and they - mistakenly - told me I didn't have to bring my luggage that early. The Magical Express was the best idea Disney ever introduced. We paid for Express roundtrip from MCO to AoA.

In talking with other people, I got lucky - I got it faster than anyone else I spoke with. Magical Express provides free transportation between the Orlando International Airport and Walt Disney World. The bus to the hotel was fine, but my luggage arrived three hours after I did (which was the limit stated in the brochure). Cost for one-way Standard shared-ride service is 16 each way for adults, 13.50 each way for children. This was a "perk" provided by my conference, but I'm sorry that I did it. Its hard to beat the uninterrupted magic when you stay at a Disney-owned resort hotel.
